CD62P, also known as P-selectin, is a 140 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and immune responses. It is stored in α-granules of platelets and Weibel-Palade bodies of endothelial cells, and is rapidly relocated to the cell surface upon activation by stimuli such as thrombin or histamine.
